In this episode of the Verbal Graffiti Podcast, we shared excerpts from an exclusive interview with Biltmore Records recording artist HUGO DA CAPO. HUGO has a goal of helping to change the mindset of the youth through music that is responsible and inspiring. HUGO also gives us insight into his life and growing up in Vance, South Carolina. We took about 30 minutes of the two-hour interview to give you an Idea of who HUGO is as an artist and how many people could be impacted if this kind of idea could catch hold within popular Rap/Hip-hop Music. The interview was also an opportunity to promote his new record called Dreamin to be released on June 27, 2017. The record is available on iTunes and Google play along with any of your other favorite online music retailer. We hope that you enjoy the interview and see the value of such a worthy goal.
In this episode of the Verbal Graffiti Podcast, we discuss goal setting. We also started our discussion of the book we picked for June in our book klub (k), and added another step to our morning routine. After we have built the morning routine we plan on issuing a 30-day challenge to encourage our audience to create a lasting habit. Rick Cruz acknowledges that the podcast is new and that we still have a lot of work to do. Especially if we are to have a shot at our goal of 100 thousand downloads per month.
The Hood Book Klub (k) is currently reading Secrets of the Millionaire Mind in Turbulent Times by T Harv Eker. During that segment of the show, we discussed ideas and concepts that were found in the first four chapters of the book. That led to the Main Topic where we shared quotes from Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar and referenced a Harvard Study on the effects of goal setting and planning. The study basically showed how in the class of 1979 3 % of Harvard MBA’s made 10 times as much as the other 97% combined. The only difference was that 3% had clear written goals for the future and made plans to accomplish them.
We then added writing down goals as the third step to the morning routine. The goal is to have a total of 5 steps before starting the 30-day challenge. At the end of the show, Rick Cruz shared another story from his past picking up where he left off last week. The last show received allot of positive feedback that we are looking to build upon, in order to create a show that would be of value to all who take the time to listen, Thank you.
In this episode, Rick Cruz announces the secret project that he’s been working on over the past two years and its 10 million dollar price tag. We referenced Tony Robbins and his 7 Master Steps To Creating Lasting Change program, as well as Sylvester Stallons famous story of how he sold the original ROCKY movie script and had to talk some unwilling movie producers into letting him star in the movie.
As part of Junes Hood Book Klub, we announced that we will be reading “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind in Turbulent Times” by T Harv Eker. We will begin or discussion of the book beginning with our next episode.
In this Episode, Rick Cruz also opens up and shares some stories from his past. We then went into the Hood Morning America Wake-Up Challenge, suggesting that our audiences commit to adding 3 minutes of meditation to their morning routine and then closed the show with our definition of true POWER.
Episode 004 of the Verbal Graffiti Podcast is a reintroduction of sorts. The show’s host Rick Cruz talks about the show’s new tagline which is Business, Finance and lifestyle optimization. The word optimization actually means the action of making the best or most effective use of a situation or resource. The podcast is a road map for success in those key areas. The road map is not provided by Rick Cruz but provided by respected experts in related fields. The advice of respected leaders is then utilized by Rick Cruz as part of his social experiment and shared in the podcast. Every day we receive all kinds of advice on business, finance, and lifestyle on-line, and most of us do not have time to research or execute on those ideas. This podcast is about the execution of those suggested strategies, and you the audience have a front row seat to that endeavor. The timing of the podcast is being synchronized with Biltmore Records website updates and the release of new music that will also be available on iTunes. Episode 4 of the Verbal Graffiti Podcast also referenced THE MODEL HEALTH SHOW with Shawn Stevenson. (theshawnstevensonmodel.com) We suggested that our audience subscribes to that podcast, and lock in Dr. Joseph Mercola’s website; www.mercola.com as well. The article discussed on WEB MD’s involvement with Monsanto pharmaceutical can be found on mercola.com as well ( http://articles.mercola.com/si
The first episode of the Verbal Graffiti Podcast is a short introduction to the show and content. The show will air on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each Month. In this episode, we introduce the show, the host, and reasons to listen in. We touched on a lot of subject matter that will be covered and expanded upon in future shows. If you were expecting commentary on music then you might be in for a surprise. Yes, music is an important part of the Verbal Graffiti lifestyle, but this podcast is more focused on inspiring the listeners to be a part of our “Gang of Hoodlums” who will read books and follow success formulas to better improve LIFE for everyone who participates. The idea is not that Rick Cruz is some sort of a GURU but rather that he is trying to stick to these life altering routines and he selfishly wants everyone to participate so that he can be held accountable for sticking to the path.
We Announced Da Hood Morning America Wake UP Challenge, Da Hood Book Klub and other Challenges or information that will make the listener think that this Podcast is nothing but a whole lot of work, And THAT It Is. But, those who participate will experience some amazing, life altering benefits. THAT is a proven fact.
This Month the Hood Book Klub will be reading The Power of Broke by Daymond John, co/written by Daniel Paisner. The book subtitle is equally as interesting as the title stating “How empty pockets, a tight budget and a hunger for success can become your greatest competitive advantage”. The book is $26 at Barnes & Nobel but we found it for $15 on Amazon.com The Power of Broke On Amazon.com. We will begin discussing the book on our next episode, but you don’t have to finish the book in that time frame.
We also asked for anyone looking to actively follow along, and become a part of our “Gang of Hoodlums” to grab a yearly planner and a journal to plan out goals and track progress.
